Khajuraho of Rajasthan - Kiradu temple

Kiradu temples are about 35 km from Barmer a towm situated in Thar desert in Indian state of Rajasthan . These temples feature impressive sculpture and a Solanki style of arhitecture, and date back to circa 1000 A.D. and later. There are five temples in all and most remarkable and biggest of them is Someshvara Temple - dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The other four temples, also considered as ancient are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vishnu (the Preserver in the holy trinity of Hindu Kiradu today lies buried in a valley of barren hills.
